A board game set in the future, where the 1950s never went out of style.
What people actually loved about the 1950s kept going and technology kept improving, so we ended up with fins on a hovercar. That is the world you play in. Two to eight players, the television is the board, and everybody uses their own phone as a controller.
Aiming for Wednesday, October 7, 2026. That date is provisional and will move if the beta tells us it should.
You need a code and a name. Joining a game never needs an account or a download. Hosting one does.
Leave an address and we will write when there is room. We confirm every signup, we send nothing else, and one click removes you for good.
The drive-in still runs a double feature. The pharmacy still has a marble soda fountain and somebody who can make a proper malt. You still park in a numbered stall and a carhop on skates still brings the tray out to the car. The lanes, the rink, the listening booths at the record shop, the Automat, the neon on the motor court. All still open, all still busy.
Every game builds its own board and draws from more than a hundred and fifty events. Six districts: Suburbia, Downtown, The Plant, The Campus, The Interchange, the Country Club.
Take your chances with a ten-sided die, or answer a question instead. Get it right and you pick any space within ten. Get it wrong and you lose the turn entirely.
Fund a degree on a scholarship, or pick up the tools and earn from the first week. One pays more later, one pays sooner. Change your mind halfway through if it is not working out.
The first job. A partnership where nobody gives up their career. Three bedrooms, two baths, a white picket fence, two cars in the driveway and two and a half children.
A fortune. An education. A life you actually enjoyed. Declare what you are chasing and that is what your life gets judged on, so a declaration you fail to deliver will cost you.
Everyone gets their own big screen and their own camera over the same board. The table does not have to be in the same room, or even the same state.
My 50s Life is in closed beta. Hosting a game needs an invitation for now. Joining never will -- if somebody has sent you a room code, you can sit straight down.
