Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 13, 2026

1. Introduction

Snowy Mountain Software (ZYEYZ, LLC) ("we," "us," or "our") operates My 50s Life. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do not collect. My 50s Life is currently in closed beta.

2. Playing without an account

Players do not need an account and never will. To join a game you enter a room code and choose a display name. We do not ask a player for an email address, a real name, an age, a phone number, or any other contact information, and there is no field in which to provide one.

The display name you choose is shown to everyone else at your table and is stored with that game. Choose a nickname rather than your full name if you would prefer not to share it.

3. Host accounts

Creating and hosting a game requires an account. A host account stores a username, an optional email address, and a password held only as a secure hash. The email address, when provided, is used for account recovery and service notices, and nothing else.

4. Game data

We store the state of games: the board, the choices players made, scores, and the sequence of turns. This exists so a long game can be paused and resumed, and so a disputed roll or question can be checked. It is tied to the display name used in that game, not to any identified person.

5. The beta list and the contact form

If you ask to join the beta list we store your email address and send one message asking you to confirm it. Nothing is added to the list until you confirm, so nobody can sign up an address that is not theirs. We use the list to tell you when the beta opens and for nothing else, we never share or sell it, and every message carries a one-click way off it.

If you write to us through the contact form we store your name, address and message so we can reply and so a mail outage cannot lose it. We keep a one-way hash of the sending network address to spot abuse, never the address itself.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies only. One session cookie remembers which seat at which table belongs to your device, so you can close the page or lose signal without losing your turn, and one holds a CSRF token that protects form submissions. We use no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics.

7. Server logs and infrastructure

Our servers record standard web log data including IP addresses, browser type, and timestamps, used for security monitoring and keeping the service running. Traffic reaches us through Cloudflare, which provides DNS, encryption in transit, and protection against attacks, and which processes connection data on our behalf. Our servers are located in the United States.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, use our contact form.

9. What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Ever.
  • We do not use advertising or third-party tracking.
  • We do not build advertising profiles of players.
  • We do not require an account to play.

10. Artificial intelligence

Some game content is drafted in advance by a language model running on our own hardware, then reviewed by a person before it can appear in a game. No player input is ever sent to a language model, and nothing you do in a game is used to train anything.

11. Payments

My 50s Life takes no payments during the closed beta and stores no payment information. If paid subscriptions are introduced, this policy will be updated before any charge is taken, and card details will be handled by a payment processor rather than stored by us.

12. Your rights

You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its data. Use our contact form.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and account holders will be told about significant changes.
